From my blog 4 1/2I really enjoyed this gem, very charming Christmas read. And that cover, a favourite winter festive one, it sold me.
College life is a big change for kids, the change of child to adult with new emotions and responsibility. When holiday breaks come most children can't wait to spend time with their families doing the traditions they grew up with.
What if everything changes, how do you deal it?
When Katie gets a ride with Alex to drive to their families they are aware of snow coming but not a blizzard. I loved the conversation between the two, a genuine feel to getting to know others during college years and now having to deal with tragedy together.
I think there is just something about snow which creates magic even in a blizzard.
I love when you read novellas and wish they were longer, I definitely could have spent more time with these characters.
There were a few grammar tense editing changes needed but over all I loved the story.

Katie hitched a ride with Alex since he was going her way for college Christmas break. They were strangers but after a snowstorm accident strands them for a couple of days they become close friends. No bad language, nothing more than kissing. A YA romantic story.
I really enjoyed this novella! It was written to be read quickly and easily, and the plot also makes it a quick read. The story is very interesting, but I was disappointed that one of the plot points was left unresolved. Other than that, a super cute story with great romance!
Fast read but not as good as it could be. It was a little unbelievable, even for these sort of stories, and the characterization was pretty one dimensional. The chemistry was cute but overall I wanted this to be better.
Loved these two characters. Katie was independent and strong. I was happy to see Alex finally find his backbone and do what should have been done a long time ago. GREAT BOOK, WISH THERE STORY WOUMD CONTINUE
I read this in one sitting. Was going to read a little then go to bed, read the whole thing. Fun, charming, realistic, scary and gripping at times even. I had been keeping it till Christmas Eve to read, but it kept calling to me from my and I ate it up. Like a wonderful Christmas cookie of a story. Romantic and fun. I hope to see more of our two main characters in the future sometime. Ms Stanton is another of the writers I have found this year whose books I just consume with satisfaction, but am always left hungry for another treat. She is on my "Must Buy" list.
I love Angie Stanton's books. Being from WI, I love that she writes about places in WI and that I not only know where they are and how to pronounce them, but it helps me relate to the story more.
Snowed Over was no exception. Not only could I relate in terms of location but also weather. In WI is gets pretty cold and as I read this book, I could literally feel the cold as they experienced it.
Snowed Over was a very cute novella. I loved the story. I loved the characters. And I loved the ending. I would definitely be interested in hearing more of Alex and Katie's adventures.
Snowed Over is my first experience reading a book published for only. Angie Stanton's YA story was a perfect Christmas romance that left me smiling.
Katie is heading home for the Christmas holidays, although this year will be unlike any other Christmas she has celebrated. Her parents are newly separated, and Katie's mom wants them to all head north to spend Christmas with a man she is "just friends" with.
Katie, a freshman in college, gets a ride with Alex, a boy she doesn't know but who is also heading the same way for his break.
A blizzard forces them to spend their Christmas in a cabin in the woods, a better alternative than the holidays both of them were planning on. Both Alex and Katie are attracted to each other, but Alex has something - namely a fiancee- he must take care of before he can explore his feelings for Katie.
This story was fairly predictable, but I loved the romance between Alex and Katie. This is a perfect, fun holiday read. And, it will make me look more closely at the books published solely on kindles in the future.
